Born in 1971 in Sondershausen/Thuringia, lives with her family in Faulensee/Canton Bern. After training as an advertising designer and poster painter, she studied business administration at the technical college in Nordhausen/Thuringia. From 1997 to 2000, in addition to studying conservation/restoration, she did internships with Oskar Emmenegger, Zizers/GR and the Brandenburg State Office for Monument Preservation, Berlin/Wünsdorf. In 2000, she completed her studies in restoration and conservation, studying the restoration of wall paintings, architectural surfaces and stone objects at the University of Applied Sciences and Art in Hildesheim/Lower Saxony. 2005 - 2007, she completed her doctorate at the University of Bamberg, majoring in restoration sciences, minoring in cultural informatics and art history. 2000 - 2005, she worked as a scientific project manager at ProDenkmal GmbH in Bamberg/Bavaria.
